| | BEST TECHNICAL DRAWING This is a "blueprint" drawing that I got from one my my architecture friend. It is complex but looks simple and really nice. The enough white space makes it easy to see. Moreover, I can easily get the theme of the design which is minimalist. The stone combination on the wall makes the house really homey and natural. The design is really creative and uncommon. The detailing of this drawing is hilarious, I can see every elements of this house clearly. | | | BEST POSTER DESIGN This is a poster by Johnnie Walker Black label whiskey. When I first saw this poster, it has definitely become my favorite because it really looks expensive and classy, I love how they make the background becomes blurred and it makes the whisky , the bottle and the glass really stand out. The color really balances between the color of the glass, bottle the whiskey itself, the background and everything seems very fused between one and another. By looking at the picture of a girl and a guy holding their hands, the black table and dark room, I really get the mood and the color of the whiskey really looks delicious and makes me want to buy it. The contrast typography colors (white and gold) make it really clear. Hence, this is a really awesome and creative design, as an owner of this brand I would definitely pay thousand dollars for this design.
| | | BEST CARICATURE This is a caricature artwork that originally was made by my housemate. Out of all his artwork and 3 of my caricature I collected, I choose this because the detail of his facial expression and especially the shading are priceless, the light and shadow make it looks real and his thick eyebrow and mustache make him very charismatic. This caricature is definitely awesome. and really artistic.
| | | BEST VECTOR DESIGN I got this guinness advertisement picture from one of Malaysia's local magazine. The audience could really grab the message and mood of this picture easily which is about parties and having fun. The color really balances, it matches perfectly between one and another, and it really related to the theme which is st. Patrick's day. What I have learnt from vector design is that It is actually a creation of the different digital images with the use of different mathematical commands and expressions. It is actually a collection of different objects rather than using an exact picture. This picture says it all, and overall this design gives me chills and I really love it.
| | | BEST HAND PAINTING I had a hard time finding a proper hand painting, until I finally saw this piece. This painting is so unreal, I still could not believe that this is actually was not made by a computer. I really like the red cheek on each character faces, usually when it comes to red cheek people will directly interpret it as a "shy" emotion but in this painting, it could be interpreted it in a varied way ( some people laughing, confuse, etc). The color matches perfectly between one and another and the shades and highlight were done correctly. |
